A pot should be…
A pot should be viewed within the length of a human arm.

This statement refers to the intimacy of the ceramic medium. It is a deceptively simple idea which has deep resonance in my life as a potter. There are layers of meaning here.
Welcome to my studio!
Here I am in my studio, leaning on Big Bertha. Stack is perched on the banding wheel. I often use the hand-carved Indonesian stamps hanging in the background for texturing the surface of my pots.

Hello from my studio!
I’m leaning on my teapot “Big Bertha”. “Stack” is on the banding wheel beside me. Hanging behind me are the carved Indonesian wooden stamps which I often use for texturing the clay. Welcome to my world!
